Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Jam: November 2024

A "Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Jams" sweets label with red and white stripes and the text on a yellow scroll.

Hello, wrockers and friends! My spirits are up just thinking about the month of creativity ahead, but before we get to that, let’s take a look at projects past.

The Every Flavour Jam is a chance to make whatever you’re possessed to make, in any medium, with a new theme every month as inspiration. This October, it was ghosts.

The Bookish Hufflepuff assembled a collage based around the Potterwatch song “The Headless Hunt” and its corresponding dance at the LeakyCon Hog’s Head Hootenanny. What a Halloween treat! She says, “I love collaging with pictures from LeakyCon because it’s an amazing way for me to keep the wizard rock memories alive. When I saw this months theme, I knew I had to use Potterwatch’s “Headless Hunt” and the dance from the Hootenanny. Shoutout to Potterwatch for the song, Bisexual Harry for the choreography, and everyone who contributed to Dream Quaffle’s Google drive for the photos.”

A collage of photos, stickers, and handwriting with a creepy-cute vibe and a Halloween color scheme. The photos show dancing con-goers and wizard rock performers having fun. The stickers feature ghosts (both stereotypical and Sir Nicholas), candy, pumpkins, bats, and more in that vein. The text is written in circles for repeated parts, with the ends of lyric sections in the middle. It reads, "It’s great to be alive It’s great to be alive It’s great to be alive Except you’re dead It’s great to take a ride It’s great to take a ride It’s great to take a ride Without your head"

November in my household will be busy, with gift organizing, Nutcracker rehearsals, cooking up a fall feast for family, and more. With all that going on, it seems like the perfect time for a theme of minimalism.

Have fun!
