Hi amazing wizard rock fans!

After sitting on these rereleases for WAY too long, I decided to release them all in one fell swoop!

The Wizrocklopedia proudly presents a whole hoard of music by Swedish wizard rock bands, originally released between 2007 & 2011. Most of these songs were originally released as demos on MySpace, and were not part of any albums or EPs. Check them all out at https://wizrocklopedia.bandcamp.com!

A couple of these bands also have other songs that we’ve already rereleased on the amazing compilation The Nordic Alliance of Love! Check that out if you get a hankering for more vintage Swedish wizard rock. First up is Nevilles and the Trevor! This oddly named duo was one of the earliest wizard rock bands from Sweden, and their songs are great! We’ve collected several of their demos into a compilation EP—enjoy!

Next up is His Silver Hand! This a capella solo project is beautiful and haunting and definitely worth a listen. Check it out! Unfortunately, even though His Silver Hand has several songs listed on their MySpace (some of which may be about other fandoms), we were only able to find 2 songs by them. Anyone know of more? They perform several more of their songs live here! EDIT JULY 1: Thanks to a generous fan who saved several songs many years ago, we now have three more songs by His Silver Hand–and they’re absolutely amazing! Hurrah!

Ever heard of De Buggande Boggartana? They’re legendary in the Swedish scene—and you may have heard them referenced in Pussycat Dolores’ amazing song “Wrock & Love” when lead singer Li sings “Don’t even need guitars, play on a cookie jar!” This EP—their only official release—is also one of the few wizard rock releases that is primarily in the Swedish language! Enjoy Det Känns När Det Svänger!

Speaking of Pussycat Dolores, when Li first started out in the wrock scene, she had a solo project called Slytherin Sweethearts! It’s so cool to hear the beginnings of what would become Pussycat Dolores in these a capella demos. Give The Slytherin Demos a listen!

And after Li wrapped up the Slytherin Sweethearts project, she was a member of a short-lived band called the SlytherPuffs! They only recorded a few songs–all parodies! Check out their EP Love Between the Houses and also watch the music video for the title track!

Finally—and perhaps most excitingly!—we have a mini-compilation called Quidditch-SM 2011: Skivan! This 6-song EP was originally compiled by Eric Fahlén of the Swedish Shortsnouts for the 2011 Swedish Quidditch Cup, and was only available on CD at the tournament in an edition of 50 copies or less! We are incredibly excited to present it here online for the very first time. Check it out! It includes songs by the Swedish Shortsnouts, the SlytherPuffs, and Slytherin Sweethearts, plus more vintage Swedish wrock bands!
