Welcome back to Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Jam, a creative challenge with a new theme every month! The responses to August’s theme came in assorted flavors, some of which may be familiar to those of you who have sampled past Jams.
Last month, the prompt was to do something you’ve been wanting to do. Some of us found a chance to do just that—and if that wasn’t you, but you still want to participate, you’re more than welcome to join past challenges at any time!
B Raya had been wanting to share a couple haiku she wrote for previous Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Jam prompts. These two short poems are very different, with one that’s commentary and another that’s imagery, but they both capture emotional moments.
For the March 2021 theme of growth:
Deathly Hallows Ron
You are exactly who I
Knew you could become
For the April 2021 theme of birds:
Beaks, claws, a blurring
Yellow mass, red dots flying
I am so sorry
Myself, I had been wanting to try remixing a song, both to hear the different sound and to work on my editing skills a little. I found a little time to do this in August, and it was a very fun experiment.
This month, students are heading back to Hogwarts. As they go by carriage to the school, by train to the carriage, and by car to the train station, let’s make some creations based around transportation! I eagerly await the arrival of all your ideas.
