Welcome back to another Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Jam! I’m looking forward to revealing this month’s theme, but first, let’s review last month! In July, our challenge was to create something related to muggles.
On the theme of muggles, Candle Wix delivered a tone-perfect parody of “Devil Town” from Daniel Johnston’s album “1990”. Rewritten to be about Professor Quirrell’s experience in 1990, “Muggle Town” is simple and intriguing, making me want to hear more of the story. The echo-heavy sound beautifully mimics the original song.
August marks the anniversary of the first Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Jam prompt, so in honor of one year creating and sharing here, I’d like us to think back. The challenge for August is to do something you’ve been wanting to do. Consider this your cue to come back to that idea you’ve had on the back burner! This can be anything, but if you’re looking for ideas, I suggest checking out all the Jams from the past year and seeing if any of them remind you of a project you haven’t gotten around to.
A big thank you to Grace Kendall for creating Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Jam, and to everyone who has participated so far. You make the world more magical through your creations!
