Wizard rock fans in Sweden who have been waiting for a local multi-day wrock festival are about to get their wishes answered!

Wrock and Love, the first ever Swedish wizard rock festival, will be taking place May 10-11 in Växjö, Sweden. With 11 bands over two days, wrock fans are sure to get more than their fill of awesome wizard rock.

According to Anna from The Swedish Shortsnouts, the name “Wrock and Love” is a bit of a spoof on a big Swedish muggle music festival called “Peace and Love”.

I discovered wrock in 2006 and fell in love with it completely in 2007. After fronting a band that played too loud & sang too out of tune but got to perform at Wrockstock anyways, I traded in the guitar and drums for a keyboard to help with the ‘pedia. You may still hear (or see) me bashing away on the drums for other wrock bands.
