Question Tuesday

Sorry this Question Tuesday is bit late this week. Without Lost to mark the day, I forgot it was Tuesday!
The other reason I didn’t realize it was Tuesday was because, for most of us, it’s SUMMER! Time tends to run together in the summertime, so I thought talking about our wizard rock plans might help us to keep track of it all.

I started my wizard rock summer with a Nifflers/JFF/Whomping Willows/Myrtles show last week. For the rest of the summer, I am mostly sticking close to home, but I’m lucky to have three shows to go to in the next month, so I won’t feel so bad about missing Infinitus. What are your plans this summer, wizard rock or otherwise?

Also, I am pretty sure that getting to see Jake of The Nifflers play for the first time will be the highlight of summer wizard rock for me. He does a great job playing, and both the crowd and Jake seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. Check out some clips from his show last week!

    I am going to see my friend this summer. Unfortunately for us, there are no wizard rock shows going on near where either of us live. I would love to go to one, though.

    Au contraire mes ami! I assert that a Blibbering Humdingers show in your own living room on Harry Potter’s birthday will in fact be the highlight of your summer! Though I concede that Jake is indeed stiff competition for the coveted “Freya’s Summer Highlight Award.” Let’s just hope the Giant Squidstravaganza doesn’t go on tour, or he’ll be gunning for that prize.

    Anyway, summer doesn’t technically start until June 21. So, that last show doesn’t really count towards the voting. 🙂

    Seriously, July is going to be insane in North Carolina for wizard rock. We’ve got Butterbeer Experience, TRLs, WWs, MMs, Snidget, JFF, Parselmouths, Undesirable #1, I Speak Tree, Nagini, Fred & George the Band, our locals – Half Kneazles, H&H, BH, maybe some DA Band, maybe even some Madame Pince! I can’t even remember everybody there’s so much going on. It’s gonna be like spending a whole month at Wrockstock!

    I’m gonna be following The Next Great Adventour for three days from July 1 – 3 from Chicago to Toronto, and then on July 10th I’m going to (hopefully!) be seeing Harry and the Potters in Davenport Iowa. 🙂 Other than that… I’m going to be working like a madwoman to make enough money to buy myself a new computer (going MacBookPro! :D) before school starts up at the end of August 🙂

    aj – You guys will just have to wrock out some yourselves!

    And Scott, touche. I shamefully forgot that the show was on Harry’s bday! Perhaps we can listen to some Nifflers and then both of my favorite things will be combined!
    (Though now I’m dreading the comments from Paul, Joe, Steph, Alex, Jason, Tianna, and Lena regarding their shows…ok, ALL of wizard rock this summer is my favorite!)

    Wow, I live in Chicago, and I didn’t know of any wizard rock shows happening there. I feel so stupoid now. 🙂

    Pittsburgh wizards are pretty damned spoiled this summer, it’s true!

    I saw the Nifflers at the Wampum Willow last November, and they totally killed it; even though it was only Jake this time, he still brought the same energy to his performance (though I’m still sad I missed part of it.. aaaaaargh buses!).

    I rocked that tambourine.

    I’m looking forward to this summer so much, becaouse it’s the first summer I get to spend with my Wrock friends. When I met them at the Snow Ball in Edinburgh last December I never thought I’d be flying to Ireland to see HatP with them, and then flying to Florida for Infinitus! It’s awesome beyond awesomeness 😀

    I am going to see Ministry of Magic and The Remus Lupins at Infinitus, and I also hope to buy their new albums. 🙂 While in Orlando, I will go to the WWoHP theme park.

    I don’t know if I can make it to the Next Great AdvenTour because I have to work the day it comes to my state. 🙁

    I doubt I’ll be able to see too many shows, since I’m moving to Orlando over the summer, which will keep me busy, and then I have to visit relatives for 2 weeks in Iceland, but I do get to go to Infinitus! YAY!

    i think I most likely will be able to see the Remus Lupins and others in Boston on July 8th, which’d be awesome! that’s my only wrock this summer though. we are traveling around a bunch to places tours are going it’s all a day or two off 🙁

    For the first time ever I might actually have wizard rock related summer plans. Assuming the show works out, I’m hopefully seeing Harry and the Potters in Oslo in August. Fingers crossed!

    I already went to the only show I’m able to go to this summer: in Harper Woods Michigan. NO ONE EVER PLAYS IN MICHIGAN! -cries- We drove for two hours to get there but it was beyond worth it!
    Wonderful job, btw, Jake!
    (And during “Wizard Rock Hearth Throb” I feel compelled to mention that Whompy put in “Jake from the Nifflers” instead of “Alex Carpenter” for “But not as cute as ____ but then again who is”) 😉
    Keep up the great work, guys! I’m be wrocking out in my room, trying to record my own songs with my crappy acoustic and outdated recording software 🙂

    Down here in New Orleans, The Whomping Willows, The Moaning Myrtles, The Parselmouths, ALL CAPS, and Monday + Tuesday of Five Awesome Girls will be performing a show on July 12! Super excited about that!!

    On July 22, The Purebloods will be joining The Butterbeer Experience, Fred Lives and I Speak Tree for a fantastic show! Whooo hoooo!!!!
