Happy #MuggleMusicMonday, everyone! Today’s band is one that I’ve grown extremely fond of. I was actually introduced to this band through Wizard Rock in a fun tale of adventure.
Okay, so it’s not a huge adventure, but it involved travel and last minute plans being executed. This band is Nate Highfield and the Good Cheer, and I was at their first ever live performance as a full band. They were touring with The Remus Lupins up and down the West Coast and were within a decent distance of me a mere six days following The Good Cheer’s debut performance. I was convinced by that first performance to make the trip and was not remotely disappointed.
By then, I had listened to their album (which I purchased at the first performance) a great many times and was actually not the only one singing along word-for-word with many of the songs. To say the least, I was a quick fan and that joy in listening to their music has certainly not faded.
So get your butt on down to their Myspace and give it a listen! Even better, you can drop by their official site and download half the album for free! The, once you know you want the rest of their music, you can purchase their album on iTunes! You know you want to… 😀
