It’s an unfortunate truth in Wizard Rock that some bands just don’t end up sticking around. Sometimes it is simply because a band only ever felt the urge to write one song, other times it’s because they are no longer interested in Wizard Rock in general. No matter the reason for not continuing with one’s music, there are still some inactive bands out there that have given us some awesome music to listen to.

One of these bands for me is The Boyz Who Lived. I recently emailed with some of them and discovered that a couple of the members are now on a record contract for a different band and had to leave their Wizard Rock days behind. Fortunately for us, before this happened, they were all able to get together to create and post one song called ‘Wizard Rock’. For those who refer to Ministry of Magic as the “boy band of Wizard Rock”, prepare yourselves to re-think that assessment.

If only The Boyz Who Lived could continue making music! However, join in with me in wishing them the best in their future careers whether or not it has to do with Wizard Rock!
