This week’s #MuggleMusicMonday has been a few weeks in coming. I was contacted a little while ago by Steph Anderson with a link to a single youtube video with a note recommending it for this purpose.
If you couldn’t guess based on my choice of pen name, I have a great love for dinosaurs. The video Steph shared with me is the music video of a song from the band Hard ‘n’ Phirm called ‘American Dinosaurs’. This absolutely hilarious song is (hopefully) the first and only song dedicated to the patriotism that clearly must have been espoused by the dinosaurs that wandered the Americas in ages past (I mean, really… what song could stand up to this one now that it exists?).
Having performed their tribute to “the original Native Americans” at an EffinFunny.com event and appeared on Comedy Central and Attack of the Show, Hard ‘n’ Phirm have reached at least a certain level of acclaim, if you can call it that. Acclaim for being AWESOME, I suppose is most accurate.
So check out the video (embedded below) and get a serious hardcore laugh out of the hilarity that is ‘American Dinosaurs’ by Hard ‘n’ Phirm! Their album Horses and Grasses is available on iTunes or through a link on their site, so check that out as well if you get as much of a kick out of their music as I do!
