This week, I’d like to bring us a little closer to home with the Muggle band of a Wizard Rocker we all know and love, Nina Jankowicz. Though many of our readers may know her best as “Nina Myrtle” in the Wizard Rock world, this talented musician is making a name for herself as a Muggle musician as well.

Nina is a veteran of musical theatre, having played such major roles as Peter Pan in Peter Pan and Queenie in The Wild Party. Not to mention her role as half of the Moaning Myrtles! But this isn’t about her Wizard Rock or her musical theatre experience. This is about the Muggle music that is possible because of what she has learned through her time as a Myrtle. Most excitingly, Nina is preparing now for her first big public performance at The Bitter End in New York. In the event posting, she asks for friends to come, saying she’s “going to be nervous as hell and it would be great to see some familiar faces.” So if you’re even remotely nearby, make an effort to go out and support her on September 18th!
