Today marks a momentous occasion. Harry and the Potters, after 7 years, will play their 500th show at their former elementary school in Norwood, MA, with The Remus Lupins, The Whomping Willows, and Pottercast!
From the founders of wizard rock as we know it:
“We started our band nearly 7 years ago on a Saturday afternoon in June of 2002. When we sat down at the kitchen table and bashed out a handful of songs about Harry Potter, we never could have guessed at the incredible ways that our lives would be changed. But hey, I guess that’s what makes life so awesome. Over the past 7 years, we’ve made so many amazing friendships and met so many amazing people, and, if you’ll excuse our immodesty, played some pretty amazing shows as well.”
If you will be anywhere near Massachusetts tonight, I think you owe it to yourself to head out and help celebrate. If you can’t make it tonight, check out the rest of the Pottercast tour here and you can catch Harry and the Potters for the next few shows!
In celebration, all old Harry and the Potters CDs are on sale for $5 at their website. Don’t forget to grab their newest 2-disc collection, Priori Incantatem, either – only $10!
