An easy question for today:
What are your summer wizard rock plans?
Unfortunately, the Pottercast/Lupins/Willows tour isn’t coming to my city, so the last of my summer wizard rock plans are tonight, when I get to see The Remus Lupins and Gred and Forge play.
July 9 – Pottercast/Lupins/Willows in Spokane (SQUEEE)
July 16-21 – Whatever Wrock is going down at Azkatraz
That’s it unless someone else decides to tour around here.
I am seeing Gred and Forge/The Remus Lupins show tomorrow, and then the live PotterCast on Saturday, which should be awesome. As for other Wizard Rock stuff, I am officially starting my Wizard Rock band this summer, so that is awesome as well.
I’m going both PCLupinWillow shows in Portland Oregon then Azkatraz less than a week later. July is going to Wrock!
Kwikspell is be performing 2 library shows in Granbury, TX on July 18th. Possible Houston show TBA (Houston is so anti-wrock.)
Just saw Whompy, JFF, and the Myrtles on Sunday in Birmingham.
Hopefully, I’ll get to see the PC/Lupin/Willows on the 25th in Atlanta.
I also might get to see House of Black in July! We’ll see!

This summer i am attending the Hogwarts Jamboree in London. Then ill be off to Caifornia for 4 weeks. I plan to catch as much wrock as i can while there. Definantly going to wrock around the rock and everything thats happening at azkatraz.
Seeing as no Wizard Rock bands are touring Norway, my chances of attending any live shows this summer are pretty minimal. As usual I’ll be watching as much as I can online though; I’m pretty sure there are plans of broadcasting some of the PotterCast/Lupins/Willows shows on Ustream, so I’ll be there for as many of those as I can.
Sadly, my plans for seeing other shows this summer started and ended with the Glass Ceiling Tour’s Vienna, VA stop. No one else really seems to be coming through VA this year, and my travel budget and options are close to non-existent this year.
The good news is, this doesn’t mean I have no wrock plans for the summer. Jason and I are hard at work on our debut album that will hopefully be finished by the end of summer and ready to release in time for Wrockstock.
And of course, I’m going to Wrockstock, but that’s not this summer.
Nobody comes to Omaha. 🙁
So my plans are Wrock Around the Wrock in July, then saving up the money and love for Wrockstock.
Sadly I won’t be able to see any wrock this summer. I’ll be doing some traveling and the bands are all playing in places when I’m not there!
My plans for the rest of summer won’t begin for another month, but in the meantime, I shall just continue to listen to what I have, keep updated on what’s happening in the Wrock World, and just have a generally great time sharing it around!
As for what events I’ll be at, I’ll be at the PC/Lupin/Willow stuff in Portland and Sacramento in July. This is just before Azkatraz gets started, so just following all that, it’ll be to Azkatraz and Wrock Around the Rock. Apparently, there’ll be an after party Wrock show on Saturday night and there are a number of us working on organizing a whisper party in the vein of what happened at Terminus and LeakyCon.
After that, I really don’t think I have any plans directly involving Wrock until Wrockstock! But it’s all going to be a blast!! I can’t wait!
I’m not going to make it to a single wrock event this summer, but I’m tentatively going to be at the Hogwarts Class of ’84 in the end of August in Cincinnati…
My plans are to watch as much of it as I can online, listen to as much stuff as i can and maybe learn some songs 🙂
Those are (well, now officially were) my plans as well, for (obviously) the same exact reasons!
If it was logistically possible I was so tempted to try to get to the Pottercast tour stop in Philly, but it just wouldn’t work out for too many reasons..
But tonight was awesome! Enough to carry me through the whole summer. (And potentially to Wrockstock….)

I am planning on going to 2 of the PC/Lupin/Willow shows! One in Houston (my family is there) at the end of the month, and another at the end of July in Las Vegas! I’m super excited.
I saw Whompy, JFF and the Myrtles in NJ when I was visiting my aunt and cousin (SUCH a good show, btw, they were all awesome!), and then I’m going to see the PC/Lupins/Willows show in Tampa later this month and I am SO EXCITED about that!
Also, The Potterwatch Project (which is my band, if you didn’t know), may be playing some shows later in the summer. Hopefully. We’re having tons of practices/recording sessions over the next month or so. And of course the Wizarding Radio Hour broadcasts every week.
No one ever tours in SC–ever–so I’m going up to NC next week to see the Remus Lupins and Whomping Willows. 😀 I would be able to see some wrockers in NY around HBP release time except, you know…they’re being awesome…in California. *sigh*
I am working at my camp for a month and during that time is the only time tours will be near me! But camp is totally worth it…
PS Is anyone way too memorized by the categories thing?
I’m hoping to go see TRL when they’re in Vancouver, but as I’m in Victoria and don’t really know anyone from Van. that is still up in the air, but I have my fingers crossed.
Since no one tours in SC, I’m taking a lot of roadtrips this summer 🙂

The Remus Lupins and the Whomping Willows will entertain muggles and wizards alike at the John F. Germany Public Library in downtown Tampa on Saturday June 27 @ 6pm while doing a live PotterCast.
