By now, I’m sure most of you have read Lizz’s retirement post. The Wizrocklopedia was her creation, and Dinah and I want to make sure that it continues to be something she can be happy to have been associated with.
We can’t do that without your help, though.
At the moment, we need more writers. We need writers to write in-depth articles, review albums, write up shows, and talk about wizard rock in general. If you are interested in any or all of these, we’d like to know about it! Here’s what we need you to do:
If you’d like to be a permanent staff member and contribute often to the site, email a writing sample to freya at wizrocklopedia dot com or WrockDinahSaur at gmail dot com. It can be anything that you’d like to talk about, but if you need a prompt, write about your personal experience with wizard rock – who your favorite band is and why, what made you start listening to wizard rock, how wizard rock affects your life, that sort of thing.
If you don’t feel like you have enough time to be a permanent staff member, you can also contribute write-ups about shows, albums, or general wizard rock topics. Just email Dinah or me to make sure no one else is writing about it first.
If you don’t want to write, but you often run across interesting things related to wrock, we would appreciate a heads up via our News Submission form. While we try to be on top of things, it can be hard to keep track of everything going on in the wizard rock community.
If you are in a wizard rock band, please use the News Submission form! We want to know what you are doing and to tell everyone else, too. All of the above positions are open to you as well. It would be interesting to hear about wizard rock from your point of view in prose rather than song.
If you have experience with WordPress templates and coding or know how to install databases, we could also really use a hand with that.
And most of all, we would like to know what you are thinking. What is missing from the Wizrocklopedia? What do you like? What isn’t working? This site is for you, after all. Feel free to comment on this post or email us directly. Constructive criticism is always welcome.
