Photo by Squib Girl.I know what you’ve been doing; sitting anxiously by your computer, refreshing your MySpace home page for notifications about new wizard rock, specifically from Tom Riddle and Friends. How do I know this? To be frank, I speak from experience. I also have an outstanding set of omnioculars.

So, what’s this about a new song? Well, it seems like the boys are beginning to release tunes from their upcoming contribution to the Wizard Rock EP of the Month Club. The disc, Bob Hope is a Vampire, named not for its theme but because “somebody must deliver the message to the people,” will be kind of different, according to Ty. Mr. Barber described the disc as “…an eclectic mix of raw power. This EP is going to tear down the system, overpower the government, let’s do this thing! Bro, I’m pumped!”

While the band’s previous albums have been on the acoustic side, Bob Hope is a Vampire will have an electric edge. “We added some bass, drums courtesy of Jarrod, and Toby is going to make an appearance or two.” The rumor mill has also churned gossip that the EP will be sexier than Wizards Loving Wizards and The Acoustic Love Collection Vol. III. When asked to elaborate, Ty replied, “Patrick Swayze. That’s all we can say.”

With these recent musical developments also comes a change in art for their online headquarters, for the first time in… history. Recent visitors may be shocked to find it so! “Voldechandler sadly went on a hiatus,” explained Ty. “We don’t know if that hiatus will ever end. Hopefully the visitors on our page won’t be too upset.”

In any case, the release of Bob Hope is a Vampire looms. While you continue checking your mailbox everyday, we’ve got something to hold you over. The boys have added “Nagini’s Lullabye” to their MySpace player and have given it to the Wizrocklopedia for 48 hours. That’s right, you can download it below, but hop to it; it won’t be available for long.

Sorry! You’ve run out of time!
Spread the word, and enjoy.

Subscriptions to the Wizard Rock EP of the Month Club can be procured by visiting the organization’s website. The $60 subscription includes 12 CD’s for hours of wizard rock listening. Proceeds from sales go toward First Book.
