For the first time in four months, I am actually not freaking out about this tour. When I was planning it, I had stress related breakdowns on a regular basis. Now that I’m actually on the road (enjoying myself immensely by the way) I am a lot less worried about it working out. When you get to spend this much time with such great people, the difficult things seem to matter less.

Our show yesterday was in Amherst, NY and we played with The Chocolate Frogs. Despite only rehearsing for a few hours in Lena’s driveway the night before, we managed to do pretty well. One thing that is different about this tour is that Kristina, Lena, and I are each missing part of our bands (if you count Lena’s backing tracks as part of her band) so we decided to help each other out by playing different instruments and singing backup.

This was a great plan until we remembered that we needed to practice or we would embarrass ourselves. Luckily, each show has run a little more smoothly than the last (especially the loading and unloading of large amounts of equipment and luggage several times a day).

After staying with some of Lena’s friends and sleeping in an epic Harry Potter themed room, we headed to Monroeville, PA. This was one of the most enthusiastic libraries I’ve played at; we spent the whole afternoon with the teen librarian, Pam, who was beyond awesome.

The crowd was an awesome mix of wizard rock fans, Harry Potter fans who were new to wizard rock, and YouTube nerdfighters. We had a blast and hung out for a while after. This show rocked.

We are currently on our way to Akron, OH for a house party. We are so excited. I don’t know how I managed waiting this long to finally tour this extensively. I’m glad I freaked out for a few months in order to make it happen.
