Matt Maggiacomo of The Whomping Willows and the wizards over at HP-Ohio have partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to help raise money to plant new trees. Matt wrote in a recent blog, “We are doing this in honor of National Arbor Day on April 25. We’re hoping that the wizard rock community will step up and take action to preserve one of nature’s most essential resources: trees!”

Not only is it pleasant reading with content like, “Now that things at Hogwarts have settled down, the Whomping Willow has more time on its branches to produce music and tour as Matt Maggiacomo. Together, Matt and Whompy are using wizard rock to fight the noble battle of cleaning up the environment and otherwise encouraging respect for trees.”
