HP-WI ANNOUNCES “WELCOME TO HOGSMEADE”

a Harry Potter Themed Event featuring a huge Wizard Rock concert

LITTLE CHUTE, WI — March 27, 2008 — The HP-WI committee for Welcome To Hogsmeade, a Harry Potter themed event to be held August 4th, 2008, has announced “Get Ready for the first ever Wisconsin Harry Potter festival, WELCOME TO HOGSMEADE- “This Year The FOX CITIES WROCK!”

Take a trip to the magical world of Harry Potter this summer with HP-WI & the Little Chute Park District, as we present the first year of “Welcome To Hogsmeade,” right here in Little Chute, Wisconsin!

Get ready for an entire day and night of non-stop fun, education and entertainment! There will be Harry Potter themed food and drinks, HP games and prizes, a magician and an all day Wrock Concert featuring some of Wizard Rock’s biggest and hottest stars. We’ve got a huge talent lineup, coming together for one of the biggest shows of them all. Hogsmeade also means great food, great shopping.

Wisconsin, get ready to PARTY LIKE A WIZARD!

The bands include The Switchblade Kittens, who wrote the first known wizard rock song “Ode to Harry” in 2000–span a range of musical genres, including pop, death metal, jazz, folk, and more.

Tickets for Welcome To Hogsmeade are:

Single Ticket – $4 Online or $6 @ The Gates (with a food donation)

Family 4 Pack – $12 Online or $16 @ The Gates (with a food donation)

Wrock Concert Only – $2 Online or $4 @ The Gates (with a food donation)

They all are currently for sale on the Welcome To Hogsmeade website only, but tickets will be available at the gates for a discounted price with a non-perishable food donation.
